Three-Day Mountain Bike Challenge
Take this opportunity to ride with author Dan Cammiade for three days
of progressive physical and technical advancement. While using Victoria
as your home base, you will venture out to explore the different
challenges of the BC Coastal mountain biking experience. Allow your
talent to be assessed and advanced in a casual and true West Coast style.
Day one takes you the training area of the Canadian Mountain Biking Team. There are plenty of single and double track riding suitable for all levels, including beginners, and double and triple black diamond trails for the experienced riders. At the beginning of each day you can either get picked up from your accommodation, or meet at Selkirk Station for equipment adjustments. Day two’s challenge is at Broom Hill in Sooke, where you will encounter classic West Coast terrain. Whether you are looking to enhance your skills or just have a good time, Broom Hill is an excellent mountain to ride. Dan will even find you an easy view to relax your eyes on while you enjoy your gourmet lunch. On Day three you will appreciate your newly acquired skills. Confident and practiced, you will head to “The Zoo” on Mount. Tzouhalem. The Zoo wraps up this challenging trilogy with back-road adventure and diversity. Although you may be a bit sore by the end of the third day, you won’t be disappointed. Action packed and out in the hills, you will have a fully rounded west coast mountain biking experience.
