Learn to Paddle
This adventure is designed as a instructional orientation and a new look at Victoria. While enjoying the historically rich Upper Harbour you learn to paddle and appreciate that Victoria is a very active working harbour. Discover who has the right of way and understand the traffic scheme as laid out by the Port of Victoria while checking out shipyards, sharing space with tug boats and their barges, Harbour Ferries and seaplanes at the same time you are learning and having fun with our certified guides. Beginners of all ages are welcome to join this tour. Basic safety, emergency procedures, weather consideration, paddle strokes and other entry level kayaking skills are covered on this trip . We begin the paddle in the sheltered Selkirk Waterway with a group no larger than 5 paddlers. 2.5 hours, all required equipment included

Cattle Point
This trip begins at historic Cattle Point and provides an opportunity to view intertidal aquatic life in its natural state. While navigating through the Rock Gardens you will experience tidal flows and enjoy learning about the various creatures that call this home. Weather permitting there is an opportunity for some open water kayaking.
Tod Inlet
On this road trip we travel through West Saanich farmland to arrive at Brentwood Bay. Here we launch and head into Tod Inlet, a natural marine park. With the backdrop of Butchart Gardens, we explore these protected waters and the quiet surroundings. Lots of waterfowl and marine life here, two hours of bliss. There is an opportunity to go ashore and visit a native heritage site which is adjacent to the Butcharts Gardens property.
Saxe Point to the Lagoon

This adventure starts from Fleming Beach and heads along the coast taking in the small islands off Duntze Head, across the mouth of Esquimalt Harbour towards Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Site and along the shoreline of Fort Rodd, a chance to absorb the rich military history of this area. Esquimalt Lagoon, a salt water lagoon bird sanctuary, is home to many species of gulls, terns, herons, kingfishers, geese, swans, ducks, merganzers, grebes, hawks and eagles just to mention as few. Above the Lagoon are some of the biggest Douglas fir trees in the province. One of these firs, dubbed the “Magna Carta Tree”, dates back to the 1700's is surrounded by hemlock, cedar, Garry oak, arbutus and the most easterly grove of Sitka Spruce on Vancouver Island. There are wetlands, interesting geological features from the Ice Age and aboriginal cultural sites as well as a great beach for lunch before heading back. Weather permitting - not suitable for novice paddlers .
